The Story
Tony Campodonico’s professional career as a composer, keyboardist, arranger and conductor spans almost 35 years and includes stints with Engelbert Humperdinck, Al Martino, Tony Martin, Gene Chandler, The Delphonics and Sophie B. Hawkins to name just a few. He has traveled extensively throughout the United States and Europe as a performer as well as being part of the live music and studio production scene in Los Angeles.
Tony has worked as a composer for film and TV and collaborated on songwriting projects, music production for vocal artists, movie trailers and more. Projects include production work and arrangements for The Oxygen Network, The Veterans Administration, Billy Griffin (former lead vocalist for The Miracles), the Former Ladies of the Supremes, as well a musical scores for feature films, short films and concert music. He currently has a song in the feature film Forever My Girl entitled Caught Up In Your Storm, which was released on Capitol Nashville in January 2018. Tony’s experience in TV and film date back even further than his musical career. As a young man he could be seen as an actor in such TV shows a General Hospital and Family Affair as well as a host of commercials, several professional stage productions and a Disney feature.
Music education has always been an important part of Tony's life and he believes strongly in giving back through music instruction by teaching: piano, keyboards, theory and music production. Students range from children and adult beginners to professionals looking to gain knowledge in specific areas. The lessons emphasize an in-depth understanding of music as well as the skills that are generally associated with piano proficiency.
Tony's education includes: Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors in music composition from UC Santa Barbara; certificate in keyboard performance at the Grove School of Music; certificate in film scoring, UCLA Extension Program. In 1994 he received the BMI Scholarship Award in Film Scoring.
Tony currently resides in the Los Angeles area with his wife and their two children.
